Synano has completed its three-year contribution to the EU EECONE consortium, presenting final results on graphene nano-ink development at the closing assembly in Paris.

Synano has been part of EECONE (European ECOsystem for greeN Electronics), a 49-partner EU Horizon collaboration focused on reducing electronics waste and improving recyclability across Europe. Synano’s contribution: nanoparticle graphene inks that print onto both bio and conventional substrates, cure at low temperatures, deliver high mechanical strength and electrical conductivity, and eliminate the environmental tradeoffs that come with traditional electronic inks.

The final assembly brought together use case demonstrators developed by consortium partners including Danish Technological Institute, Silicon Austria Labs, 4MOD Technology, CEA-List, and Melsen Tech. Results from graphene ink applications across these demonstrators were presented and reviewed, with next steps toward commercialisation now in planning.

Synano’s work on the project was led by Sana Fateh and Dr. Srikanth Birudula. Companies working on printed electronics, conductive inks, or sustainable materials are welcome to reach out to Dr. Srikanth Birudula directly to discuss technical performance improvements and commercialisation opportunities for graphene nano-inks.
