We offer a range of nano-coolants tailored for different applications, including water, water-glycol, acetone and refrigerant based nano-coolants. Our product portfolio includes nano-coolants with various nanoparticles such as aluminum oxide, graphene and carbon nanotubes, among others. Nano-coolants are most advantageous in liquid-to-liquid and liquid-to-surface cooling applications such as shell-tube, cold plates, jet impingement and plate heat exchangers. Whenever the coolant is the limiting factor in heat transfer, our nano-coolants can provide a strong heat transfer enhancement. Nano-coolants can also be used for two-phase cooling system such as vapor chambers, heat pipes, thermosyphons and refrigeration applications.

Depending on your thermal management system and operating conditions, heat transfer improvement from nano-coolants can be calculated using the properties of nano-coolants such as thermal conductivity, viscosity, density and specific heat capacity. Also, the enhancement from using nano-coolant is maximized if cooling liquid is the biggest thermal resistance in the thermal management circuit.
We make this exercise easier for you by providing consultancy services, where we study your thermal management system and associated thermal resistances to understand the root cause of your thermal problems. We then make calculations to suggest the best nano-coolant or surface modification for your system to provide upto 30% improvement in heat transfer performance.
Our nano-coolants are typically pre-mixed and ready to use. They are formulated with precise nanoparticle concentrations and dispersed uniformly in the base fluid. This ensures consistent performance and eliminates the need for on-site preparation.
In case further dilution is necessary on-site, we recommend using the base fluids from Synano since they contain specific inhibitors for corrosion protection which are compatible with nanoparticles. We strongly advice against diluting our nano-coolants with base coolants from other suppliers since it can lead to agglomeration and unwanted reaction of nanoparticles as those base fluids may contain inhibitors which are not compatible with our nanoparticles.
Yes, our nano-coolants are designed to be compatible with most existing cooling systems. They can be used as a drop-in replacement for traditional coolants without the need for major modifications. However, it is always recommended to consult our experts or refer to the product documentation for specific compatibility guidelines. When replacing conventional coolants with our nano-coolants, we would strongly recommend to clean the heat exchanger system thoroughly and get rid of all the previously left over coolant, before adding nano-coolants to the system.
Our nano-coolants are compatible with all types of metal heat exchangers, both plate and shell & tube type. It does not react chemically with the material. We have tested our alumina based nano-coolants for corrosion activity with anodized Aluminium, stainless steel and copper plates. Also it has been checked with plastics, silicon tubing and seals. The corrosion activity was within the limits and no noticeable corrosion observed. Due to nanoparticles forming thin layer of oxide on metal, corrosion activity is reduced.
Our nano-coolants have the same freezing and boiling point as that of the base fluid. Refer to technical data sheets for exact values. Our nano-coolants are thermally stable and do not become unstable/agglomerate within the operating temperature range of base fluid. e type. It does not react chemically with the material. Our alumina nano-coolants are non-toxic, non-flammable, non-carcinogenic or bio-accumulative. They are safe, stable and corrosion-free. However, it is important to follow proper disposal guidelines and local regulations when handling and disposing of nano-coolants. We believe in recycling and therefore we recommend that spent nano-coolants are sent back to us for recycling.
Yes, it is. The nanoparticles can be collected by removing the base fluid and re-dispersed to make a new fresh batch of nano-coolants.
Although the nano-coolants are safe and do not have long term harmful reactions, precautions shall be taken while using these fluids. Always wear gloves while using nano-coolants. If the fluid comes in contact with skin or eyes, wash immediately with soap and water. It can cause mild irritation on the area where it comes in contact with the skin, but if washed immediately, can be prevented. Refer to Material Safety Data sheet for detailed safety and handling information.
It is not recommended to mix different nano-coolant types or brands together. Each nano-coolant formulation is designed with specific nanoparticle concentrations and surface treatments and mixing them may alter their performance characteristics and negate the intended benefits. It is best to use a single type of nano-coolant for optimal results.
Our nano-coolants do not require any special maintenance beyond regular monitoring of system performance. However, it is important to follow recommended maintenance practices for your cooling system, such as periodic fluid analysis and system inspections, to ensure optimal performance.
