Synano PAO2-Nano has passed every acceptance criterion in the Submer Fluid Validation Service. This is the independent immersion fluid validation framework used to clear fluids for data center deployment. Submer tested the fluid between December 2025 and February 2026. It confirmed the fluid suitable for deployment in immersion cooling systems.

PAO-2 is a strong base fluid for single-phase immersion cooling. It has good dielectric behaviour and low viscosity, and the industry knows it well. Its one weakness is a flash point at the lower end of what fire safety standards accept. Synano designed its nano-oil to raise that flash point without giving up anything the base fluid does well.

Every stage of the programme followed a published standard, and the results confirm the design. Closed cup flash point measured 164.8 °C against the 150 °C OCP minimum. Submer placed that value at the top of the range expected from PAO-2 fluids. Breakdown voltage averaged 71.4 kV, more than double the 30 kV threshold. Volume resistivity reached 525 GΩ·m against a 2.00 GΩ·m minimum.

Material compatibility followed the OCP immersion method, with 336 hours of exposure at 80 °C. Every structural plastic and adhesive passed. The breakdown voltage of the fluid stayed above the 20 kV limit after every exposure. On an Intel LGA7529 test vehicle at 500 W and 650 W, thermal performance matched the PAO-2 base oil in every configuration tested.

For data center operators the result is simple. Fire safety and electrical safety margins go up while the thermal design stays the same. Synano PAO2-Nano is a drop-in formulation with no hardware changes.

This immersion fluid validation completes the qualification stage of the Submer programme. Extended testing in a Submer SmartPod follows.
