Nanofluids are hard to make. Harder to stabilize. Hardest to scale into real systems that hold up in the field. Meet the Synano team behind all three.

Sana Fateh, Founder and CEO
MSc Mechanical Engineering, TU Delft. Sana founded Synano in 2017 at Yes!Delft after identifying that nanofluids, despite their proven performance, had never been commercially scaled. She built the company from a lab bench, secured EU and Dutch national funding, and has led Synano through technical development, market expansion, and international consortium work ever since.

Alexander Korobko, CTO
25 years in nanotechnology and advanced materials at TU Delft. Alexander solved creation of stable nanoparticle suspension in dielectric oils, maintained indefinitely in real operating conditions. His immersion oil formulations deliver up to 15% better heat transfer, reduced viscosity, and doubled dielectric strength. He leads all technological development at Synano.

Chris van der Zande, Commercial Director
15 years scaling biochemical companies and global projects. In 2024, Chris reviewed dozens of startups before co-investing in Synano and joining as commercial lead. One thing set Synano apart: it is the only company to have achieved stable nanoparticle suspension across all types of low-viscosity fluids. He leads Synano’s commercial partnerships, working alongside fluid manufacturers to bring nano-enhanced performance to their existing systems.

Dr. Srikanth Birudula, Project Lead, R&D and Product Development
PhD in Materials Science and Chemistry, University of Groningen. 8 years in chemical formulations. Srikanth leads product development at Synano, translating lab-level nanofluid research into optimized formulations for data centers, EV batteries, CHP systems, and solar applications. He also represents Synano in European consortia including EECONE.

Héctor Díaz, Materials Scientist
MSc Material Science and Engineering, TU Delft. Originally from Honduras, Héctor focuses on nanoparticle-fluid interactions and leads Synano’s work within the Open Compute Project community on direct-to-chip cooling. His PG25 nano-coolant already shows 7% higher heat-transfer efficiency versus standard PG25 coolants, with identical safety and reliability.

Svetozaar Roosendijk, Business Development
MSc in Entrepreneurship and Growth, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Svetozaar connects Synano’s technology to the markets that need it most, including data center operators, OEMs, and industry platforms such as OCP (Open Compute Project). He leads commercial partnerships, media. and market developments.

Sharven Shenvi Kerkar, Mechanical Engineer
Sharven builds the systems that prove the technology works and quantifies what it’s worth. He developed predictive models that calculate the real commercial impact of switching to nano-enhanced coolants. He also built Synano’s transparent immersion cooling demo tank from scratch, now shipped to Silicon Valley, and runs production at Synano’s production facility for PG25 nano-coolant, EG30 nano-coolant, and nano-enhanced oils for immersion cooling.

Kasper Kok, Material Engineer
MSc Material Science Engineering, TU Delft. Kasper develops and tests nano-oil formulations at Synano, optimizing thermal conductivity through particle surface treatments and fluid parameters.
